Week 5, Wednesday
[Sousei has spent most of today absolutely haunted by this fan. So when he sees it again, he gives it a baleful look--but has to go for it anyway, slowly walking over and reaching up to try to grab it off of its high shelf.
It is...
A bit too far though.
This is an expression of pure aggravation as Sousei looks around for something to stand on to try to grab that.
He's not cool anymore.]

It was hardly idle commentary. I was prepared to offer you my assistance.

[NEARLY...
Balanced so precariously as he reaches, reaches--
He doesn't actually manage to grab it, though, but instead accidentally knocks it from its perch. YIKES.]

[well, Akechi's reflexes are pretty good, so he manages to catch the fan as it falls. score!!]

Akechi's prize is a memory! Nice!
Sousei's clearly reporting to a higher up; he's got longer hair, his uniform is different, but even so, he's got a very similar posture--it's obviously him.
(Oh right--and no scars.)
It's not going well, though.
There are probably a fair amount of details Akechi won't quite understand by merit of not knowing the situation, but even so... it seems as though Sousei notices something (despite having things thrown at his head).
He turns without a word after that to leave the office--but it's probably very clear in his face if nothing else that he's come to a decision.
(And that, Akechi, is when Abe no Sousei decided that following authority is a waste of time.)]

[because when that memory ends, another one beings]

This... this is bad. This is Akechi killing not because he's a teenager in a tense situation where his hand is forced, but because...he can. That expression on his face is not hard to read, the smugness in every line of his body plain, and Sousei... is definitely frowning, arms crossing tightly, as he processes this memory.
... Akechi is very, very far gone, and has been from the start, huh...?
He'd known he was a problem, but not quite to this extent.]

[he jerks back as soon as his memory ends, pulls away form Sousei as much as he can, expression wild. Sousei isn't the first person to see that memory, but. . . Akechi's reaction is always the same]
. . .
[he doesn't know what to say]

Sousei's quiet for a long moment, and then he just tilts his head slightly.]
Do you have anything to say for yourself?
